Citadel Broadcasting Goes from Good....To Green

With CNY primed to grow it's Green Industry, Citadel Broadcasting has become the first Broadcasting Company to Go Green.  We've partnered with the Environmental Protection Agency in it Green Power Partnership Program along with local partners AmeriCU Credit Union and OCCRA to help promote the area as a Home for Green Businesses.  As part of our commitment, Citadel will purchase renewable energy certificates to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the company's conventional use of electricity.  Citadel has also pledged more than $1 million in airtime to promote the benefits of going green to listeners over the next two years.  OCCRA has provided some tips for a healthier planet.

The Green Team

We want to establish Citadel as the GREEN advertising company . If you're thinking of advertising your business, and you yourself are a GREEN business or trying to be... wouldn't you prefer to do your advertising with a GREEN broadcaster!  For more information on advertising, call Angela Moonan or Jeff Ogden at 472-0200.

EPA's Green Power Partnership

The Green Power Partnership is a voluntary program that encourages organizations to buy green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with purchased electricity use.  The Partnership currently has hundreds of Partner organizations voluntarily purchasing billions of kilowatt-hours of green power annually.  Partners include a wide variety of leading organizations such as Fortune 500 companies, small and medium sized businesses, local, state, and federal governments, and colleges and universities.
